Let the water flow ...

The patio

Man Cave wiring...
The beginnings of the man cave are happening. In the pictures below you will see an orange pipe that runs mid way from the wall down to the bottom. This pipe is for all of our "wire management" that are associated with TV and many, many components that are required to offically be a "man cave".
Security System
Our security system has been wired into the entire house. As most of you know, I am really weird about house alarms because I am such a scardy-cat so this was a major item on my list to make sure we do right.
Drywall!
Our house is covered in drywall! Well ... almost. Tonight when we went by the house we found stacks of drywall loaded in all around the house.

It's Electric!
Today we went to the house to find that the wiring of the house had begun. We walked into cables being pulled all of the house and the installation of outlets. It was fun watching the guys walk across the planks in the ceiling as they drug heavy cabling from one room to the next. I am sure glad that it is them and not us!

Err... is that the master shower?
Somthing fun about building a house is that you really, I mean, REALLY learn that what is on the plans and how that translates into your head is not necessarily what actually happens. Case in point our master bathroom shower. Here is the shower pan - 36"x36".
Just seems teeny, tiny and then I remember the 12'x15' closet next to it and I move on!

Happy Birthday John!
John will turn the big 3-0 this weekend! Hurricane Ike has pretty much ruined all of the birthday plans, so we have gone to the store for all of the "essential" supplies and plan on hanging out in our rain gear and getting cabin fever instead. We'll try for some real birthday celebration next weekend!

Peak-a-boo I see you!
Tonight we went by the house and noticed that we had windows installed! Of course John jumped out of the car and immediately started inspecting them to 1. make sure they were installed correctly and 2. to make sure they work. I let him do his thing, taking pictures behind him and now that he gave them a thumbs up, I post the pictures for you to see. Also, our builder called and told us that in the next two weeks plumbing, electric, roofing and A/C will all be installed. Ohhhh...Awwwahhh!

Outside looking in
This week has been the most changes on the house. Here is a view of what the outside of the house is looking like these days. We are so giddy everytime we drive up!

We actually got to go up to the second floor of the house last night. Here are some pics.

The beginnings of a roof!
There was no day off for labor day in our neighborhood. John and I checked out the house today and there was major progress made.
